How it works

01

Pick a state

Choose the state you want to back. Every one of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory has a player representing it.

See every state

02

Make a contribution

Any amount at or above the minimum. Every contribution counts equally, whatever its size — there is no weighting by amount.

03

The state funds a milestone

As contributions add up, a state funds a scouting program and then an academy. It funds them by reaching the amount, and no state is selected over another.

States by supporters

The five states with the most supporters. Ordered by the number of people backing each state. Every contribution counts equally.

The race starts now

Be the first to back your state.

Where the money goes

Funds earmarked for Football Dreamz scouting programme, establishment of academies and talent development in Nigeria. Each state is working towards the same two funding milestones.

Milestone amounts are planning illustrations, not binding commitments. What is delivered depends on net proceeds, approvals, safety and operating conditions.

Questions

Everything you need to know before supporting your state and its young football talent.

What is the Kanu Challenge?

The Kanu Challenge is a Football Dreamz campaign that brings supporters together to create real opportunities for young football talent across Nigeria. Choose a state, contribute, and help strengthen its pathway from local discovery to professional development.

What does my contribution help fund?

Your contribution is counted toward the total of the state or the Federal Capital Territory you choose. Each location has two cumulative funding milestones:

  • ₦3.5Ma professional scouting program in the state.
  • ₦25Mthe development of a Football Dreamz academy for ongoing talent discovery and training.

Milestone amounts are planning illustrations, not binding commitments. What is delivered depends on net proceeds, approvals, safety and operating conditions.

How much can I contribute?

The minimum contribution is₦2,000

The campaign sets no maximum, although your bank or payment provider may apply its own transaction limits.

Can I support any state?

Yes. You can support any of Nigeria's 36 states or the Federal Capital Territory. Once confirmed, your contribution is added to the selected location's campaign total.

Can I be featured as a state supporter?

Yes. If you contribute ₦1,000,000 or more, you can choose to appear in the public Biggest supporters list for that state and leave a short message.

Public recognition is optional, and messages may be reviewed before publication. Your contact and payment details are never displayed.

Does contributing more improve a player's chance?

No. A larger contribution helps your state reach its funding milestones sooner, but it gives no player an advantage and does not influence the jury's decision.

How is the talent selected?

Contributors support a state rather than a specific player. Eligible young players are discovered through professional scouting and assessed by a qualified football jury on their ability, potential, attitude and eligibility.

Fundraising totals do not determine which talent is selected.

What will the selected talent receive?

One selected young talent will have the opportunity to meet Nwankwo Kanu on a special occasion arranged by Football Dreamz. Final details will be announced once confirmed.

Do contributors receive a financial return or reward?

No. Contributions are voluntary support for youth football development. They do not buy equity, create a right to repayment, or make any outcome depend on chance.

Recognition in a state's Biggest supporters list is optional and has no effect on talent selection.

Are payments secure, and are there any fees?

Payments are handled by approved payment providers. Any processing fee is shown before you confirm, and it is added on top of your contribution so the full amount you choose reaches your state.

Football Dreamz does not store your complete card details, banking credentials or cryptocurrency private keys.

How will my information be used?

We use your information to process the contribution, issue a receipt, prevent fraud, count your support toward your chosen state and send important campaign updates.

If you choose to appear in a public Biggest supporters list, only your approved public name, selected state and message are displayed.

Your name, email address, phone number and state are shared within the Nexar group in addition to the payment provider, and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 applies. More information is in our Privacy Policy.

Who receives the funds?

Funds are received by Nexar Football Development Ltd, the Nigerian company operating the campaign. Nexar Group AB is the parent company.

How often do the totals update?

Supporter counts update continuously. Naira totals are published on a set cadence — monthly by default — because Nexar Group AB is listed on a regulated market and a continuously updating public revenue figure would be price-sensitive. Each state page names the cadence its figure was produced on.

How do I raise a complaint?

Email info@nexargroup.se with the issue and the resolution you are seeking. If your complaint concerns a contribution, include the transaction reference, date and amount. We aim to respond within 30 days.
